Jo C - Speech Pathololgist

Jo is a qualified Speech Pathologist, registered with Speech Pathology Australia. She has 3 years of experiencing supporting both children and adults, and is skilled in delivering comprehensive assessments, treating and diagnosing a range of swallowing and communication disorders.

Jo is fluent in Italian, and has experience prescribing and supporting the use of AAC devices.

Jo has a specific interest in AAC, Swallowing & feeding, voice, gestalt language processing and working with LGBTQIA+ people.

What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love to sing and play music, go swimming, walk on the beach, go to markets and be in nature! I also love a good craft project and a good book.

How do you connect with young people?
I love to explore what interests a person may have, and connect either through shared interests, or learning about the other person’s interest in more detail.

I am a great listener and I love to explore people’s stories- every story is so special and unique.

I am also very encouraging and I love to bring positivity into sessions.

What were you like growing up?
I was always busy playing sports and music. I spent so much time listening to music and developing an eclectic music taste.
