What are your hobbies outside of working?

My hobbies outside of work include time in nature such as walking around my local nature paths and time at the beach. I also enjoy video games, arts & crafts as well as reading. I am very family-orientated and like to go camping with my friends and family.

How do you connect with young people?

I connect with young people by immersing myself in their interests. I like to ensure the young person feels as though their opinion is valued and provide a space in which they feel comfortable and safe. I also have a child-like and positive attitude towards life, which helps me engage with the young person.

What were you like growing up?

I was a very happy kid who had the same interests as I do today. Nurturing to my younger siblings and cousin being the eldest grandchild of twelve kids. I had a very unique way of seeing the world and hope to honour the assistance of other children understanding the importance of their perspective.
